Unimog excursion to F-Woerth with overnight stay

Alsace tour of the regional group "Ortenau-Elsass" of the UNIMOG Club-Gaggenau

UNIMOG crosses Alsace and exhibits in F-Woerth

On 20 and 21 July, 12 UNIMOG's and around 18 participants set off on a beautiful trip to Alsace. Organised by Gilbert Burcker, deputy regional leader of the UNIMOG Club-Gaggenau for Alsace, the vehicles met at the former customs station at the border crossing near Wintersdorf. In convoy, they then drove through the many small Alsace villages.

Around noon, a small, discreet wine tasting was held and then the group drove on to the "Gimpelhof" for a lunch break. There they were joined by other Alsatian UNIMOG friends. After many more kilometres and villages, they arrived at their destination in the late afternoon: an artificial island at the edge of the village of Gunstett. Ideal to park the UNIMOGs and celebrate on the island. The best weather ensured a cheerful atmosphere. We spent the night in a camper van, on a bunk bed or in a tent. On Sunday after breakfast they drove into the town of Woerth - there was a big festival with a classic car exhibition in which the UNIMOG'ers took part. The audience was very enthusiastic about the many UNIMOGs and there were many conversations and professional exchanges.

After noon, the UNIMOGs drove back home. All participants had a lot of fun and enjoyment and it was an all-round successful weekend.
