Unimog regional groups Ortenau-Elsass and Mittelbaden held regulars' table - lecture "101 things you need to know about Unimog".

On Friday 17 January, the regional groups Ortenau-Elsass and Mittelbaden of the Unimog Club Gaggenau held a joint regulars' table at the SV Clubheim in Sasbach. Around 61 members and guests came to watch two presentations and then enjoy the evening in a convivial atmosphere.

The first lecture was given by Carl-Heinz Vogler. He showed clips from old films of the development of the Unimog and the transfer of Unimog production from the Boehringer company to the Daimler-Benz company. He also told illustrated stories from the post-war period when the Unimog was still being developed and built in the occupation zone.

In the second part of his talk, Carl-Heinz-Vogler selected 5 of 101 topics from his current book
"101 things to know about Unimog" and presented them to the assembly. Decorated with stories and additional pictures around the respective topic, he succeeded in telling an interesting and exciting story about technical developments in the field of the Unimog. And also stories about the people who were involved, underpinned with appropriate anecdotes.

The second part of the evening was given over to Melitta Hacanik and Katharina Burkard. Both women were co-drivers and partly also drivers on the journey to the Unimog annual meeting in Somaggia in Italy in 2019. They took a variety of pictures and presented the journey there and back as a slide show with oral explanations.

At the end of the evening, Carl-Heinz Vogler presented the Regional Director Ortenau-Elsass, Gerhard Große, with a Stammtisch mascot for the future Stammtische.
